Patagonien

Über vier Wochen (6. Oktober bis 15. November 2019) war das vierköpfige Expeditionsteam bestehend aus Robert Jasper, Jörn Heller, Klaus Fengler und Dr. Andreas Thomann im nördlichen Patagonischen Inlandeis unterwegs. Der krönende Abschluss der Expedition war die erste Nonstop-Besteigung des Cerro Largo (2799 m).

Vom 9. Februar bis zum 3. März 2018 verbrachten Matteo Della Bordella und Silvan Schüpbach 22 Tage im chilenischen O’Higgins Nationalpark, um den abgelegenen Berg Riso Patron zu besteigen. Dieser mysteriöse Berg am westlichen Rand des südlichen patagonischen Inlandeis wurde bislang kaum von Bergsteigern besucht.

Oktober 2017: LOWA-Athletin Ines Papert verbringt acht Wochen in Patagonien mit zwei Zielen im Sinn: Sie will ihrem Sohn die patagonischen Berge näherbringen und den Fitz Roy im Winter besteigen.

Pirmin Bertle wanted to leave El Chalten to visit Puerto Natales for only some days, but then he found this line. Never had he seen rock like this before, never had made moves like this. Never in a spot like this.

Am 6. Februar 2016 erreichten die beiden Alpinistinnen Ines Papert und Mayan Smith-Gobat mit Kletterkollege und Photograph Thomas Senf den höchsten Punkt des Torre Central (2800m) im chilenischen Torres del Paine Nationalpark über die extrem schwierige Ostwand.

Der Schweizer Alpinist Roger Schaeli konnte vom 4. bis 5. Februar 2016 zusammen mit Seilpartner Friedrich Maderer über die Südostkante des Cerro Torre in Patagonien den Gipfel "by fair means" erreichen. Der Cerro Torre gilt als einer der herausfordernsten und schwierigsten Berge der Welt.

Vom 29.01. bis 31.01.2016 konnten Silvan Schüpbach und Matteo Della Bordella die vierte Begehung by fair means - also ohne die nun entfernten Kompressor Bohrhaken - der Cerro Torre Südostrippe für sich verbuchen.
