Maik Urbczat, ein gebürtiger Zittauer, machte sich im Jahr 2000 auf den Weg in das Nürnberger Land, wo er eine neue Heimat fand. In seiner Freizeit kann man ihn hauptsächlich beim Bouldern in der Fränkischen Schweiz antreffen, wobei er stets die Kamera zur Hand hat. Wir haben Maik für unsere neue Serie "Fotos im Fokus" interviewt und zeigen seine besten Bilder.

Dr. Michael Vogel, Leiter des Nationalparks Berchtesgaden, unterzeichnete kürzlich ein Dokument zur offiziellen Zusammenarbeit mit dem Yosemite Nationalpark in Kalifornien. Beide Nationalparks vereinbarten eine Kooperation in den Bereichen Wissenschaft, Forschung, Bildung und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit.

Dani Arnold stellt im September 2019 an der Grossen Zinne eine neue Rekordzeit auf. Der Mammut Pro Team Athlet besteigt die Nordwand über die Comici-Dimai-Route in 46 Minuten und 30 Sekunden. Damit hält der 35-Jährige an vier der sechs grossen Nordwände Europas den Speed Rekord.
