Alpinist Goes Digital

Alpinist, widely regarded as the best climbing magazine of all, has taken a couple of significant steps this month. The whole magazine will now be available online. For a couple of days – Wed Sep 20 to Fri Sep 22 – you will be able to access the site for free, after which there will presumably be some subscription fees. The articles and photographs are obviously the same as in the magazine, but we reckon the mag has a more classy feel to it. Add to this the fact that they are now printing it on 100% recycled paper and it is still a force to be reckoned with. Alpinist Website Screenshot planetFear will soon be starting a new monthly feature summarising each of the nine climbing magazines available in the UK: Summit, Climber, Climb, Friction, Gravity, Rock & Ice, Alpinist, Vertical and Climbing. Ian Parnell will give a short synopsis of each magazine as it hits the shelves so you will be able to see, at a glance, what´s on offer month by month. ———————————————————————– If you have any news worth reporting please contact Matt – matt@planetfear.com / 0114 2969114 ———————————————————————–
