Moonclimbing will be present at the BAZ*!-event this year. As most of us will know, this brand is owned by no one less than Ben Moon. We all know him from sending Karma (FB8a+) in the movie “The Real Thing” from 1996 but he's don more impressive things in his life. He's one of the most important pioneers of grit climbing and has opened many routes in the Peak District. The center of climbing in Britain.
Nowadays he's taking it a bit easier as we are meant to beleive and is making a good effort in getting a bouldering brand onto the market with clothes and crashpads and other stuff.
He'll also be present at BAZ! and on Sunday the 26th of August, he'll be giving a masterclass to 6 lucky prizewinners.
Volunteers wanted
With only three weeks to go, all preparations have come up to steam now. Things like scaffolding, walls, light, sound, electricity and catering are all being taken care off. We are lucky to have put a team together that handles these things very well and manages to get them done.
During the last week of preparation we'll be needing a lot of volunteers for all kinds of work. Many of you have already offered some help but we still need people. Free/Party/Staying the night/Camping for participants
On Saturday after the finals there's a great party near to the beach. For your comfort, we have arranged busses to transport you from the beach to the party area after the finals but you can also go there by yourself. There's also a posiibility at this same location to pitch up your tent for the night on privat ground near or on the beach. On Sunday morning, there will be breakfast provided for a reasonable price.
The program for the party will be available in our next newsletter, or keep a close watch on our website.
Prizes
We have a lot of prizes to give this year. For the winners but for the other participants as well. For example, there will be a prize for the person that ends on place 070. There will also be a goodiebag handed out at registration with a special surprise and a lot of nice stuff from our sponsors.

Youth
Registration for the adults competition is going very wel but for the youth competition we're a little behind schedule. If you're under 16 and would like participate in the best boulderingevent possible, do register. Or, if you know anyone, let them know.

There has already been some attention by the media for BAZ!. There was a great article on http://www.routesetter.com and Monday we gave an interview to the regional newspaper AD/Haagsche Courant.
