BMC Leading Ladder – Dates and Venues- 40 Walls

by Rob Adie The BMC Leading Ladder is back this year with a whole new format to get even more of you climbers enthused about competing in Leading Ladder rounds. The BMC Leading Ladder is a series of competitions that start in October and runs at over 40 walls right through until the end of March 2009. Each round of the BMC Leading Ladder runs for a 16 day period – that´s 2 weeks including 3 weekends. This year we are running multiple rounds at the same time, up to 6 rounds at any one point. This means that you will have even more opportunities to compete at a leading ladder round every week right throughout the winter. The time table of rounds can be seen here. This year we have also extended the grade ranges so that each round will have 10 routes ranging from F5+ to F8a. The competition has also been split into three ability categories – Improver, Recreational, and Elite and you the climber, decides which category you want to compete in. ( Source: BMC )
