Climbing Works Opens Its Doors

The Biggest Bouldering Wall in the world, The Climbing Works in Sheffield, this morning opened its doors. With the forecasted rain held at bay by blue skies and cold temperatures is was a testament to the buzz surrounding the wall that over a hundred people had arrived by lunch time. The problems are organised into Fontainebleau style circuits, colour coded and numbered. People seemed very happy with the concept, choosing a circuit to suit their abilities and following the markers. Cries of “where´s blue number 7” were not uncommon and very reminiscent of traipsing around the woods of Bas Cuvier or 95.2. At the last moment Berghaus came on board to sponsor the competition wall with Bleaustone. Their new Big Wall brand fits conveniently on the biggest bouldering wall on the planet!
