Lincoln City Race

The 4th race of the Inov8 sponsored UK Cities Cup took place on Sunday in the city of Lincoln. The women´s race was a battle between two athletes just back from the World Championships in Kyev (Jenny Johnson and Helen Palmer) and GB World Cup orienteer Laura Daniels. Jenny took the victory by 4 clear minutes with Helen in 2nd and Laura 3rd. In the men´s there was a Sheffield clean sweep with World Cup team mates Oli Johnson and Mike Sprot taking the top two places and Andy Preston sneaking into 3rd ahead of top junior John Rocke of Sheffield Uni.Roger Thetford and Jane Halliday won the veteran classes with Peter Hodkinson and Mairhead Rocke winning the 16 and under categories.
