PlanetFear Football Tournament

planetFear.com are organising their first ever 5-a-side football competition and I would like to invite all the planetFear users to enter their own teams!The event promises to be a lot of fun with an emphasis on friendly competition although there will be some prize money available to the winning team. Male, female and mixed teams are all welcome.We have booked two pitches from 1pm on Sunday the 21st April at a dedicated 5-a-side football centre about 10 minutes drive from Nether Edge (Sheffield). The competition will be organised on a league basis with the winning teams playing in a knock out finale. The league structure will give the maximum playing time to each team. More details on the competition structure will be available when we have a better idea of the number of teams entering.The 5-a-side centre has all the normal facilities of a sports centre including a large bar, which is only 10m from the pitches! The competition will be taking place on the weekend 20th and 21st April because the Guinness World Dyno Competition is being held at the Edge Climbing Centre on the Saturday afternoon. There is also a large party being organised for the Saturday night details of which will appear on the planetFear web site when known. Essentially this weekend is going to be great fun with lots of climbing and non climbing (!) events taking place.Teams, which have already confirmed include The British Mountaineering Council, RockFax, The Edge Climbing Centre and of course, planetFear. Confirming your involvement as soon as possible would help with the organisation considerably. There is also a limited number of places and teams will selected on a first come first served basis.There will be a £10 charge per team, payable on the day to help cover the cost of hiring the pitches.If you have any questions just ask away or if you would like to enter a team just e-mail me: shane@planetFear.com.
