Brian May More Eiger news. Queen guitarist Brian May has lent his mountainous guitar solos for the score to The Alps, a forthcoming IMAX film documenting American rock climber John Harlin III as he ascends the Eiger North Face, the same mountain that took his father´s life. For the film´s score, May teamed with musical composer Steve Wood for orchestrated re-arrangements of Queen tracks such as “Who Wants to Live Forever,” “It´s a Beautiful Day,” and “Bijou” as well as providing guitar work on original material. “Brian´s soaring style took the emotional level up a notch and made everything fit — that´s where the seam became seamless,” says Wood.
