Iker Pou has opened Sorginetxe, at Larraona, the first 8B+ on the Iberian peninsula. The problem adds a sit down start, four hard moves, to Variant, an existing 8A, which was opened by Iker two years ago. To send the 8A only took Iker a day, but he had to wait two years before he could, first do the single moves, and then to finally link the whole problem. Iker is hardly a new comer when it comes to hard problems of routes. Having sent stuff like Maharadscha, 8B, Soucoupe, 8B, and Action Directe, 9a, he should know what he´s talking about… Check out Desnivel for the full story and pics.
