Japanese superman, Yuji Hirayama has made the 2nd ascent of Tommy Caldwell´s Kryptonite, 9a, at The Fortress of Solitude near Rifle. This was Yuji´s first 9a ever (that´s if he confirmes the grade), his previously hardest being Underground, 8c+/9a, at Massone, Italy. Not only a great red-pointer, he has also done the hardest onsight ever, with Mortal Kombat, a route originally graded 8c/c+ by Axel Franco, later downgraded to 8c by the Bindhammer-brothers. Yuji said 8b+. He has also onsighted Sphinx crack, 8a+ trad, and almost onsighted the free Salathé (3 falls). This man might very well be the most complete climber ever.
