The ´Rab Mountain Marathon´ announced for Sep 07

Famous for their excellent Peak District based events, Dark & White Events have teamed up with Rab and organised a new two day mountain marathon in the Lake District on the weekend of 29th/30th September 2007. There will be a variety of entry options available from the tough and challenging Elite course through to the standard categories offering challenging courses over the same terrain as the Elite Course but over shorter distances. There is also a walkers class for those who want an easier weekend! It?ll be possible to enter as solo or in a team of up to four runners. All the courses will be set up on a score basis with a time limit on each day ? navigation and event strategy will be key to success. Your aim will be to try to visit as many controls as possible on each day and return within the appropriate time limit (Elite 7 hrs Day 1, 6 hrs Day 2; Other Classes 6 hrs day 1, 5 hrs day 2).
