Stoney Middleton, popular summer climbing venue in the Peak District, made the national headlines last week when a dam above the village burst. The ensuing flood rushed down the high street flooding houses and coating everything in mud. Perhaps it will have given a little friction back to Minus Ten wall! Stoney last made the headlines during the outbreak of foot and mouth when it was one of the only crags in the Peak where climbing was allowed. Argentinean, but resident of North Wales, Silvi has long been at the top end of women´s climbing, making the first female ascent of Lourdes, f8a, many years ago. El Oraculo, f8b, is close to Lourdes at El Chorro.
