Young Blood Shines Abroad

After an excellent showing in this year´s British Bouldering Championships where he finished 8th overall, Ryan Pasquill recently competed in an International bouldering competition in Argentiere in France. Although many of the top competitors were obviously absent, there were enough there that an 11th place finish behind the likes of Danial Dulac (who won) and Salavat Rakhmetov (who won the FIBO not so long ago and is currently ranked 6th in the world) deserves a pat on the back for the youngster. Also of note, Pete Hurley came 35th and Sean Gelder 39th. You may remember that back on June 17th we reported that Ryan flashed John Dunne´s ´Countdown to Disaster´, possibly the first E8 to be flashed on Gritstone. Pete has been doing great things, recently onsighting Salmon and Jasmine two E7´s at Bamford. Watch this space for these two 18year old´s who are obviously going places.
