Boardman Tasker Trust lecture

On 17th May 1982 Peter Boardman and Joe Tasker disappeared on The Pinnacles on the North East Ridge of Everest. Their deaths closed a remarkable era in British mountaineering. On Friday 8th November the Boardman Tasker charitable trust 20th anniversay lecture will recall their accomplishments at a fund-raising evening for the Boardman Tasker Charitable Trust for Mountain Literature. A fund-raising dinner follows the lecture. All welcome, but places limited.. The duo left a key legacy in their endeavour – a style that captivated everyone – innovative methods, and exploratory goals. Highlights were Dunagiri, Changabang, Kongur, Everest and Kangchenjunga. A second, and perhaps more lasting, legacy was their four books.
