Hadrian´s Wall in Falkirk closes down

Hadrian´s Wall in Falkirk has shut up shop – because the landlord wants to turn it into shops. The facility might not have been Britain´s finest but as Eddie McH points out on the thread linked below, it did have a 15m lead wall and (useful and, it´s claimed, unique for Scotland) facilities for practising dry tooling. Still, as the thread also shows, it did stir up a lot of feeling. And whatever you thought about it, one has to argue that it´s always preferable to have more walls than fewer.
