Mrs Weston with her letter from the Cabinet Office informing her of the awardUKC News© John EalesThe infamous Ma Weston, owner of the Olde Worlde Cafe, Bosherston, Pembroke has received an MBE in the Queen's birthday honours list.Ma Weston, real name Violet Susannah Weston, has for seventy years kept Pembroke's climbers topped up with cream teas and brews and is in this way responsible for some of the hardest routes in Range East.Mrs Weston is now 87 years old and has been serving tea since she was 17.”Every climber who has been to Pembroke is certain to have stopped at Mrs Weston's cafe and enjoyed her hospitality and tea cakes.
