MUC Wuthering Hike race report

Wuthering Hike / Haworth Hobble 2007 Race Report The bleak and breezy Yorkshire moorland provided a stark backdrop for the first event in this year?s Montrail Ultra-running Championship. The Wuthering Hike is a 31 mile course, with 4,400ft of ascent/descent. The second half of the course is particularly challenging, with some stiff climbs to do on tired legs.A cool, mostly dry day with good visibility gave excellent running conditions; and enabled 232 people to complete the course.Winner Adam Breaks came in with an impressive time of 3:43:24, half an hour clear of second equal Allen Smalls and Matt Giles.First females Helene Whitaker and Cath Worth clocked 4.53.24.
