New records on Everest

On May 17 a new age-record was established on Everest. Tomiyasu Ishikawa of Japan set the record to 65 years and 176 days, when he climbed Everest from the North. He had already climbed Everest in 1994. The same day Atsushi Yamada made it to the top. With 23 years and 9 days he is now the youngest, who has ascended the Seven Summits. The Korean Park Mu-Taek established a special record. He ascended Everest, K2 and Kangchenjunga, the three highest mountains of the world in less than two years. ( Source: Mount Everest.net )
