No more greener grasses, 8A+, for Angie Payne [updated]

I'm just going to go ahead and quote Jamie Emerson here: “Angie Payne, in a stunning effort, has made the first female ascent of the classic and very difficult No More Greener Grasses [8A+] at Mt. Evans. She spent 4 days on the problem. This is one of the hardest problems ever climbed by a woman, and one of the best problems in America. Very well done.”I asked Angie how she felt about her ascent and what's next:”I am very psyched to have climbed this problem. It is a beautiful line in a popular area of Colorado that I have walked by many times. I was not sure I would ever be able to do it, so when I climbed on it this year and found it within reach, I was very motivated to finish it. I am definitely psyched to have climbed another 8A+, but more than anything, I am psyched to have finished such an awesome boulder problem.Next? Not sure yet….but I would like to try to ride this wave of momentum I have found. Currently, I am taking summer classes and have an exam on Friday….so the immediate future holds a lot of studying ;)Jamie also says the ascent was caught on video, so stay tuned.
