Saturday was the Middle Distance race at the Nordic Open Championships in Denmark with business back to normal in the women´s race with Simone Niggli winning although by just 3 seconds from Finland´s Minna Kauppi. Finland took the gold in the Men´s race with Jarkko Huovila winning by almost 50 seconds from one of the favourites David Andersson of Sweden.
