Saturday 5th June 2010 saw the opening of Manchester's new dedicated bouldering centre Rock Over Climbing. The opening event, our 'Summer Rock Fest' was an open bouldering competition comprised of a 30 problem qualifying round followed by a mens and womens final. Despite it being a glorious day outside we had an amazing turnout with around 150 competitors of all abilities from absolute beginners to some of the best talents Britain has to offer, we even had competitors return from their European travels just to compete!The qualifyers were very close and with such a strong field even some big names just missed out on the finals.
