Save The Peak District

Just a wee reminder of what;s at stake: The BMC is urging everyone who wants to help save the Peak District to attend the final day of the Backdale Quarry public inquiry. Could this (see attached) be the future view from Calver if quarrying is allowed to continue? The public inquiry will come to a close on Wednesday 27 February. Final submissions will be heard and although third parties are not officially permitted to speak out at the inquiry, it is extremely important for as many people as possible to turn up in support of the Peak District´s natural environment.How can you help? Attend the final day of the public inquiry When: Wednesday 27 February, 9.30am. Even if you are at work and can´t afford the day off, turning up for just an hour would be great help according to Guy Keating, Access & Conservation officer at the BMC.
