ShAFF Urban Orienteering Race Results

The First ShAFF Urban Orienteering Event was a great success with competitors travelling from as far afield as the Czech Republic! There were 40 checkpoints dotted around Sheffield City Centre from the Showroom Cinema to planetFear to the University. A brand new map produced by Great Britain international Oli Johnson enabled some high quality racing with 4 competitors on the Heroes course managing to visit all 40 controls before their hour limit was up. Congratulations to the winners of the Heroes course, and £50 vouchers for planetFear, – Mike Sprot (who got all 400 points in just 50 minutes) and World Cup medallist Helen Winskill (285 points). The winners on the Challenge course were: Men Rob Little 150 points, Women Clare Sutherland 70 points, Men U18 Henry Lin 65 points, Men U16 Peter Kincaird 50 points, Women U18 Fiona Sutherland 70 points and Women U16 Louise Adams 70 points.
