by Rob Naylor For those of you living in the south east, StephenVenables will be giving a talk/slideshow at the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks, Kent,on 30th October at 8pm.The lecture is hosted by Tunbridge WellsMountaineering Club and entitled “Everest and Beyond” – but while there will be a short element involving the “E” word, the bulk of the talk will concentrateon his rescue from 20,000 ft on Panch Chuli with 2 broken legs and his crossingof South Georgia last year with Reinhold Messner and ConradAnker.Tickets are £4 for BMC or BMC affiliated members and £6 forothers.
