The Big Picture

Fancy seeing your digital photos in large print around the country? Check out www.living-art.org.uk. They have an interesting new project in the pipeline called The Big Picture of Natural Britain. The first ?online portrait? of our natural heritage, the objective is to create a public work of art – a giant aerial map of Great Britain made up of a mosaic of natural images. They?re looking for people to upload images onto the site, which will be placed into the relevant area on the map. People can submit images taken from their home area or from anywhere around the UK. Subjects can be landscape, flora and fauna, or people enjoying the landscape – contributors just need to go to www.living-art.org.uk then register and follow the links. They?ll also get a free mini web site for their images, plus a free print at the end of the project. Once completed, the entire map will be printed onto a giant panel to go on display at prominent UK locations ? galleries, museums, public buildings etc. The intention is for several maps to be displayed throughout the UK. The final version will also be shown online and will be available as posters, framed prints etc. All profits from the sale of promotional products go to UK wildlife trusts. Sounds fun. ———————————————————————– If you have any news worth reporting please contact Matt – matt@planetfear.com / 0114 2969114 ———————————————————————–
