Tremadog Festival 2008 – Wanted

by Martin Kocsis, BMC Last year´s Tremadog Revival Festival was a great success. Over 70 people turned up for the weekend to clean and climb routes and in the process they seemed to enjoy themselves. With that success under their belts, the BMC´s Cymru/Wales team under the fine leadership of Mike Raine, has stuck with the same formula for this year. There are several aims of the festival: to have a good laugh being the main one, to take responsibility for the upkeep of one of the great Welsh crags, to get involved in further direct local action and to spread warm feelings of lurve. When: 25th, 26th & 27th April Where: Guess! What: Turn up with secateurs and/or a pruning saw, a brush then climb a route or two and give it a spring clean. Once you´ve done this you can take advantage of the freebies on offer! There will be a Grand Prize Raffle, free camping or bunkhouse accommodation, free local beer, free AV Art of the Slate presentation (digital version) and a late bonfire. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in, whatever your grade or experience. If you need to know any more, then contact the team on bmccymruwales@live.co.uk, or via Martin Kocsis at BMC High Command 0161 438 3336 or martin@thebmc.co.uk
