UK Climbing Roundup

The cooler August weather has encouraged a flurry of activity the likes of which the UK has not seen for a while.In North Wales Chris Davies has raised the bar in Parisella´s Cave, Llandudno, with a Font 8B/8B+ link-up of Crucial Times and Trigger Cut. In Yorkshire Steve McClure has completed his latest project at Kilnsey. Magnetic North weighs in at soft F8c+! Karin Magog meanwhile has established Stolen, a continuation to Cold Steal, at F8a+/b. Tom Bolger has flashed The Thumb, F8a, and Alison Martindale redpointed Let The Eat Jelly Beans, F8a. On the trad front Nic Sellers has established a new trad E7 at Blue Scar. True Blue tackles the wall between Stairway to Heaven and The Great White. Last but not least is the first ascent of perhaps Britain´s longest sport route at Cheddar. Castles Made Of Sand is 120m long, tackling one of the towers in Pinnacle Bay  / Castle Rock area. It´s graded F6c.
