BMC Energised – Progress Made and More To Come.

by Mick Ryan Dave Turnbull Upbeat Dave Turnbull, Chief Executive Officer of the BMC gave a ´state of the BMC´ lunchtime presentation last weekend at the Kendal Mountain Film Festivalattended by those in the outdoor trade, media and the wider climbing community. It was a very upbeat and positive event with Turnbull describing the continued financial health of the BMC. Two new BMC products were launched, Susan Harvey from HARVEY maps introduced the new map of Snowdonia which is the second in the British Mountain Maps series for hill walkers and mountaineers. Second up was the new BMC/MCoS Alpine Essentials DVD , both products shall be reviewed at UKClimbing.com shortly. This comes hot on the tale of the BMC guidebook, Burbage, Millstone and Beyond being awarded this year´s Mountain Exposition prize at the Banff Mountain Book Festival.
