Renowed American climber Charlie Fowler has gone missing in Tibet. Climbing with Christine Boskoff they had been exploring South West China / Tibet since the start of November, with the alarm being raised when they failed to return to the U.S. in early December. A detailed local search has now got underway with friends, the U.S. consulate and local authorities being involved. The search is also being helped online with a blog being set up to provide and source information. A search fund has also been set up to cover the expensive costs ($75,000) of the search effort.
