51 Marathons in 50 States in 50 Days!

Last week we reported that ultra runner Dean Karnazes completed his challenge to run 50 marathons in 50 days in the 50 states of America. Quite some feat.Well it turns out that another American marathon specialist has gone one better, running 51 marathons in 50 states in 50 days. 24 year old Sam Thomson undertook his challenge to raise money for victims of Hurricane Katrina.While the marathons were “definitely difficult,” Thompson says, “I would honestly say that the travel and logistics and all of that were more challenging than the actual running.
