Bain de Sang (F9a) gets 7th ascent – "Action Directe is harder"

Iker Pou has made the 7th ascent of Fred Nicole´s Bain de Sang, 9a, at Saint Loup, Switzerland. Pou is reported to have said this route is definitely one grade easier than Action directe. Since AD must be considered the „benchmark 9a“, this would mean Bain… is more like 8c+.Having done two 9a´s, at least two 8B+´s, as well as hard multi pitch routes, such as Silbergeier, Iker must be considered one of the best allround climbers on the planet… and so quite well-placed to judge such things.
