by Tom Briggs Nick Bullock has made the first winter ascent of The Crack, an E1 5b on Clogwyn Du that previously went in summer with 2 points of aid. It took him a couple of visits, but the super-strenuous crux pitch was led free on 1 March and seconded by Mr On-sight, James ´Caff´ MaCaffie.
