450 athletes from over 50 universities will compete this weekend (17-19 March) in the 12th British University Sports Association (BUSA) Mountain Bike Championships in Shropshire.Athletes will race over the brand new Downhill course on Saturday, and then the attention moves to the Cross Country on Sunday across the former National course in Eastridge, near Shrewsbury.Sue Mahony (Bath) will return to defend her Women?s Downhill title, while in the Men?s event there will be a battle of wills between the favoured Elite ranked riders, Philip Shucksmith (Cardiff), Dave Duggan (Manchester), Mike Gray (Bristol) and Will Evans (Swansea).On Sunday Will Simmons (Leeds) will be the one to watch as he prepares for the World Student Cyclo Cross Championships in Belgium the following Friday. ———————————————————————– If you have any news worth reporting please contact Matt – matt@planetfear.com / 0114 2969114 ———————————————————————–
