Caldwell on the Great Roof – Video

BigUp Productions (makers of the Dosage DVD series) have uploaded a 5 min video of Tommy Caldwell sending The Great Roof (5.13c), the crux pitch on The Nose, El Cap. The video was shot as he was making big wall Yosemite history, free climbing two El Cap routes in a day (see planetFear news report here). The film will be part of Dosage IV which should be released in the UK in the run-up to Christmas. Prior to this ascent, Tommy became only the second person (after Lynn Hill) to free climb The Nose – climbing it in a remarkable single 12 hr push (see planetFear news report here) More Video Action.. A little bit older…but just as impressive is the recently (re)released video of Fred Rouhling on the controversial Akira (9b).
