MountEverest.net, which follows the progress of teams attempting to climb the world´s highest mountain, reports that the first teams of the spring season are collecting at the South Col today (15 May), ready to go for the summit tomorrow. Their summit climb will lead them up snow slopes from camp 4 on the South Col to the South East Ridge at 8400m.From there it is another 200m to the South Summit before the infamous bottleneck, the Hilary Step.Having tackled this obstacle, it´s just a quick romp to the top!
