2003 World Sprint Champion Jamie Stevenson, from Great Britian, took the Silver Medal in Sunday´s European Orienteering Championships Sprint Distance giving Great Britain a great start to the event being held in Estonia this week.Jamie finished just 5 seconds down on three-time European Champion Emil Wingstedt (Sweden) with Andrei Khramov (Russia) the current World Long Distance Champion in 3rd. In the women´s race Simone Luder (Switzerland) demolished the field winning by over 30 seconds from Kajsa Nilsson (Sweden) with Minna Kauppi (Finland) in 3rd. Four other GB athletes scored their first World Cup points of the season with Jon Duncan in 38th, Sarah Rollins 18th, Jenny Whitehead 37th and Rachael Elder 39th. Pippa Whitehouse had a storming run to win the B Final by a clear minute.
