First female ascent of Mission Impossible

German, Ines Papert has made the first female ascent of Stevie Haston´s M11 testpiece, ´Mission Impossible´.Whilst training for the Ice World Championships which take place in March in Kirov, Russia, Ines took advantage of excellent cold conditions in Cogne and sent the route second go. Papert fell off on her first attempt at a crucial undercut move, but says that the route was easier to read than some M10s that she has done because it follows a distinctive crackline before pulling onto the ice.Thanks to planetmountain.com for the news.
