A meeting was held on June 21st among local climbers in Fontainebleau, to discuss (in a consensual way) what to do about the recent vandalism of many classic problems. For those who don´t know the background, read the June 14th news posting. The minutes of the meeting were as follows:Question Shall we try to “recreate” the original boulder like it was in the past?Answer Everybody agreed NOT to try to restaurate or re-chip the damaged boulders.Question Tooling of the holds has weakened the sandstone (sandy areas are appearing), so shall we try to fix (with resin, for example) the damaged areas?Answer After discussion, everybody agreed to wait for 2-3 months before trying anything and to see how the holds will “naturally” evolve.www.bleau.direttissima.com
