Graham sends Action Directe!

Dave Graham did exactly what many of us expected and made the 4th ascent of the benchmark 9a, Action Directe at Waldkopf, Frankenjura. Previous ascents have been made by Wolfgang Güllich (1991), Alexander Adler (1995) and Iker Pou (2000). Graham was the first repeater not engaging in highly specialized training prior to his ascent, taking only a little more than one week to succeed. On Roberto Fioravanti´s website you can see a flash animation of Dave on the route. Iker Pou is by the way close to finishing all the 8c´s in Frankenjura, Powerplay being the last on his list.
