La Rambla Extension climbed at F9a+

8a.nu reports that Ramón Juliá has made the first ascent of La Rambla Extension at Siurana, Spain.Juliá has given it a grade of 9a+, making it a contender for the hardest sport route in the world alongside Akira, Orujo and Realization.Ramón sent the route on his 4th try last week, after a total of 40-50 redpoint attempts.Recently, he sent Kinematic (9a) after only 5 tries, making him well qualified to give his route the top grade.
