With foot-and-mouth cases down to 0, access is opening up everywhere. Froggatt and Curbar will be open this weekend in the Peak; many more access restrictions should also be lifted. (Do enquire locally though.) However, the Burbage valley is still closed – apparently the farmer who owns the area was spooked by the sight of the eager hordes who ascended to Stanage last weekend. But Derbyshire CC is opening every footpath as of midnight Friday 25th. It´s going to be a cragging Bank Hol – enjoy!
