Renowned climber Nazir Sabir has become the President of Alpine Club of Pakistan:Nazir Sabir is the most famous name among Pakistani mountaineers. August 7, 1981 he reached the summit of K2 via the South-West ridge with Eiho Ohtani making the first ascent of this route and he is the only Pakistani, who has climbed Mount Everest as well.
