A few snippets of news from Nepal: Henceforth there will be only two categories of visas-single entry and multiple entry(instead of three types at present). The fee for single entry visa will beUS$ 30, while the multiple, with a five-month limit, will cost US$ 50.Tourists arriving between January 1 to July 15 next year would be issued oneday visa free of cost. With effect from March 1st, 103 Himalayan peaks in Nepal will be opened up for mountaineering. This brings the total numner (in Nepal) to 263. Furthermore the Nepali Government has relaxed the rules on mandatory liason officers on mountaineering expeditions. With effect from March 1st Peaks ranging below 6500 meters will not require Liaison Officer anymore (89 peaks) Thanks to Everest News
