Richard Simpson adds new lines to Huntsham crag

by Jim Houghton On the 25/7/02 Richard Simpson From Birmingham climbed a new route at Huntsham crag in the wye valley called Claim 2 Fame and graded it somewere in the region of E7 6C but is awaiting a second ascent to confirm this grade. The route take the direct finsih to RNA were RNA swings onto the left hand side arete Claim 2 Fame Blasts up the centre of the wall via long reaches on small pockets with the climbing in the upper half been sustained and the last move been the crux, the protection is poor and low and will not protect the final hard moves. He also added a font 7B roof climb, second ascent by myself, and a Font 7B+ sit start. Their are also several other projects up to about Font 8a which Richard is getting close to and should be sending them shortly.
