The Great Climb Cancelled

Unfortunately the great British summer has struck again and the BBC ouside broadcast, The Great Climb, was cancelled over the weekend due to bad weather. Situated in the Cairngorms, the programme was billed as “A unique televised event which will showcase the skills and personalities of an elite group of climbers, as they pit themselves against the challenge of extreme climbs in the extraordinary landscape of the high Cairngorms.” Even though the event failed to occur, you should still check out the BBC website for The Great Climb as it has some very interesting features about the proposed climbing area and the climbs that where to be attempted.
