Tyler Landman repeated Daniel Wood´s Colorado testpiece Jade, which weighs in at a mighty V15 (font8c), on Saturday 4th August. The problem is in Upper Chaos Canyon, in the Rocky Mountain National Park. Tyler says, “Jade is the epitome of hard bouldering – a six move problem with a key crux move that stands out amongst the others. The hold is miniscule and conditions dependant, the wall is steep and the footholds are lacking. The rock is flawless and the setting is unique. Jade is a modern world class bloc that hopfully is a sign of things to come. ” For more details of his ascent, see Tyler´s blog on the Moon website. Tyler took a late July trip to Squamish, flashed a V12, the Vince Pinch and made the second ascent of the low start to this problem at V13.
