Sage advice from many climbing coaches tells us the contrary, that warming up is essential if you want to perform at your best and is also good prevention against injury. The BMC in their wisdom have, in conjuction with the Foundry climbing wall in Sheffield, produced a video showing some simple warm up excercises.
