GHM (the elite section of the French Alpine Club) has withdrawn from the International Piolet d?Or award. Since 1990, GHM together with French ?Montagnes? magazine have awarded what they considered the best climbs each year. International climbers were added to the jury over time. But now the French high altitude climbers are jumping ship, explaining that respect and confidence is lacking between them and the magazine.
