MacLeod Update

Dave MacLeod has been busy churning out Blog entries about his exploits of late. Last week we reported that Dave was psyched to travel around the country repeating the hardest routes. Well it would appear that he has become temporarily sucked back into his true passion, new routing. He just spent four days working on what he describes as ´The Line´ on Ben Nevis. Unjustifiably hard it may be, but it´s obviously taken a hold in his consciousness as he´s discussing, cleaning and practising it again! In the meantime he made a quick practised ascent of Arcadia, E7 6b, on the Steall Hut Crag. We wouldn?t normally report repeats of E7´s, but when you consider that he had to stop at the first shake-out to remove his T-shirt through fear of overheating, and then use it to slap his body in a midge killing frenzy before pushing on through the crux, you´ll appreciate that Scottish hard climbers are truly HARD! Check out Dave´s Blog for plenty of interesting reading and some decent photos. ———————————————————————– If you have any news worth reporting please contact Matt – matt@planetfear.com / 0114 2969114 ———————————————————————–
